About Us

The Academy of Medical Education during Conflicts (AMEC) proposes a comprehensive medical education initiative utilising simulation-based education (SBE) and augmented reality (AR) technology to support continuous professional development in crisis-affected regions. Our team has much experience working with undergraduates, mutual aid groups, and postgraduate students to enhance SBE training and support learning in low-resource settings during challenging times. Along with partners, we have pioneered implementing augmented reality technology and blended training in Sudan following the war’s eruption in 2023. Our focus was on delivering training in emergencies. We extended our work to mutual aid groups, including allied health professionals in Sudan.
